Mangoes are often referred to as the 'king of fruits' because of their rich flavour, aroma and nutritional properties.
The weight of the mango is 232 grams.
The average weight of a mango is around 200-300 grams, although some larger varieties can weigh up to 1kg.
The mango is one of the oldest fruits known to mankind and its origins can be traced back to south-east Asia. The weight of the mango can vary greatly depending on the type, variety and size of the fruit itself. Knowing the weight of the fruit is useful for cooking, for buying by weight and for monitoring your diet if you are watching your calorie intake.

I had to find out how much a mango weighs beforehand to thank a vegan doctor! It turned out to be 4 mangoes per kilo, and I added a couple more to make a nice pile and it came out to 1.5 kg. Thank you, very helpful in figuring out the weight and therefore the cost of the presentation!
